Rustic Crab

Painted while teaching this week for Paint and Pals, this painting was worked on during the class. It is not quite finished because I helped the rest of the group. We had 17 people and no two crabs were alike! It never ceases to amaze me that my students will all start out with the same drawing but never end with the same image. Color choices, brush strokes, techniques all are different and make for an interesting evening of teaching! I will never tire of teaching and love to watch the people that come leave pleasantly surprised that they have a painting that they can hang and say, I did it myself!

"Porch Swing" Paint and Pals

Last Thursday I was able to help out with a fundraiser for the Court Appointed Child advocacy. We had several ladies that painted the swing and a lot were first timers. People really seem to enjoy painting with us and we really make an effort to not let anyone leave with a painting they are not happy with! Lots of food, fun, and fundraising!

"Tiger" A Paint and Pals Original

I hope everyone enjoys painting Tiger as much as I did. Our Paintings at Paint and Pals are fun and easy to create. Tiger may not be available until November on our website because the October Calender has already gone out. I am going to talk with Alexis about people being able to pre-sign up for the Tiger and Bama night. We will probably also develop a cat version for you cat lovers out there! I hope to have the Bama dog up soon as well. She is already painted (last Thursday night)but I still have to photograph her.

Salty~Paint & Pals

Salty is another of the Paint & Pals classes I have taught this week. I taught this class last night, Monday so it will count toward the Monday post. This finally catches me up again on my paintings towards the 100 Days~100 Paintings.

Again, it was a great experience working with the group getting ready for a wedding the following month. Alexis, the owner of Paint & Pals, donated the canvas for both of the paintings .

Beach Umbrellas~Paint & Pals

Those who know me know that I work for Paint & Pals as one of their instructors. Last Friday, after working at the house in Fairhope, I made a frantic trip home to take a shower and run to the studio to teach for a bachelorette party. I had a really great time, and this painting is one of two I painted. It was an interesting experience, trying to keep two groups of women focused and painting. We still did not get out of there until 10:30!

Paint & Pals Ballerina

I taught yesterday at Paint and Pals Studio. I absolutely love the new place located near Buffalo Wild Wings on Airport Blvd. in the Picadilly Square. I was helping with two girls that wanted to paint this little ballerina for themselves. Ginger Woechan designed this precious painting especially for Paint and Pals and it is rapidly becoming a favorite. I f you want to paint one, call Alexis at 251-654-2313 to save your spot. I had such a ball that I got inspired to paint some Degas's Ballerinas from his drawings. This one is 11 x 14 Acrylic on Canvas. Isn't she just so sweet!
This past week has been rather hectic, hence I have not blogged since Thursday! I also had to purchase a new computer because the old one absolutely gave up the ghost. Oh well, hopefully the Racoon Retreat won't get in the way as well. By the way, if you have been keeping up, the house in Fairhope was ours as of 10:15 Friday morning!
